Private School Scholarship Grades K-12 · No income limit

"I want help paying for my child to attend a private school."

This scholarship helps pay tuition and fees at a participating Florida private school. It is funded through one of two state programs, the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC) or the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO). You do not need to choose between them. Families submit one application, and Alta Via will determine the applicable scholarship program and funding source based on eligibility, priority status, program rules, and available funding.

Who it is for
Florida students who can enroll in kindergarten through grade 12 and plan to attend a participating private school.
What it pays for
Tuition and fees at the school. Payments go to the school on your behalf.
How much
The state sets the amount each year by your child's grade and county. For 2026-27, awards ranged from about $7,500 to $12,200 a year. Actual 2027-28 award amounts will be updated when released by the state and may vary by grade level, county, and program.

Unique Abilities Scholarship Age 3 through grade 12

"My child has a diagnosis or an IEP and needs learning built around them."

The Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA) gives your child a flexible education account. You choose how to use it, from private school tuition to therapies, tutoring and learning materials, and we approve and pay for each eligible expense.

Who it is for
Florida children from age 3 until they graduate from high school or turn 22, whichever comes first, with a qualifying condition documented by an IEP or a diagnosis from a licensed physician or psychologist.
What it pays for
Private school tuition and fees; therapies such as speech, occupational, physical and behavioral therapy; part-time tutoring; curriculum and instructional materials; approved technology; testing fees; and some college and career programs.
How much
The amount depends on your child's grade, county and level of need. For 2026-27, most awards ranged from about $9,600 to $14,400 a year, and students with the greatest needs received up to about $39,000. Actual 2027-28 award amounts will be updated when released by the state and may vary by grade level, county, and program.

Personalized Education Program Home education · Grades K-12

"I want to direct my child's learning at home, my way."

The Personalized Education Program (PEP) is part of the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship. It gives families who educate at home a flexible account for approved learning expenses. You write a simple learning plan each year, your child takes one approved test each year, and you choose the curriculum, classes and tutors that fit.

Who it is for
Florida students who can enroll in kindergarten through grade 12 and are not enrolled full time in a public or private school.
What it pays for
Curriculum and instructional materials; part-time tutoring; online courses; part-time classes at a private school or through your school district; testing; and guidance from a Choice Navigator.
How much
The same amounts as the Private School Scholarship, set by the state by grade and county.
